Measurement and external content
First-party view, click, sponsored-placement and topic-interest measurement can process a daily hashed visitor identifier. Hashing is pseudonymization, not a guarantee that information is anonymous. Read the privacy notice for fields and retention. Hosting may also process network and security logs.
Remote thumbnails and cover images connect your browser to their image host when loaded. Optional social/video players load only after you choose the preview, and may use the provider’s own storage and network identifiers. Ordinary links connect to an external service when followed.
Your measurement choice
Page views and Page link clicks are always counted as anonymous totals without cookies or identifiers (page/link, time, referring site, device class, campaign tag). Optional unique-visitor, topic-interest and sponsored-event measurement is off until you choose Allow measurement. Essential only declines it. Use Privacy choices below to change your choice later. The indiedex_measurement preference cookie lasts up to 180 days. A browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal overrides a saved grant. Security, abuse prevention, sign-in and user-requested actions still work.
Clearing site data may sign you out and reset preferences. External image hosts and previews operate under their own policies; the measurement choice does not control their systems or remove earlier records. The operator must still review applicable requirements for each launch market.
